Last update: 19 June 2018
Characters play a very important role in Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia. The ruler's family and numerous statesmen hold different positions in your kingdom. Each member of your court has some influence on your state, since he can command an army or govern a province, and the daughters of a faction leader can marry royal family members of other nations (which positively affects the relationship between the two states). Statesmen are characters from outside your family, but with a significant position in your country.
Each male character has a number of different factors and statistics assigned to him, that affect his effectiveness in various situations. In addition, all characters are fighting for influence, which determines their prestige. Moreover, if a given member of the court is not loyal to you, he may openly disobey you and rebel.
In the following chapters, you will learn more details about character statistics and what factors you should pay attention to. You will also find a chapter that will describe the skills you can acquire for experience points and a separate section devoted to court intrigues (special actions and activities available to the ruler).
