After many attempts to build a flying platform, you still don't know how to launch it? Our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guide will help you make your first flight. We explain how to fly, how to control the plane and how to take off with a flying platform.
How to build a plane?
After completing all the puzzles in Gutanbac Shrine on Great Sky Island in the frozen land, you will find some Zonai devices and a Device Dispenser. Thanks to these items, you will be able to build your first plane and quickly fly to another part of the island.
Use the Device Dispenser and throw in some Zonai Charges as well as other items that you got from defeating the robots. You get the most Zonai devices from the Device Dispenser after dropping into it 5 items at once.
There are wings on the runway. Take out 2 fans from the backpack and attach them to the wings using the Ultrahand. Make sure that the fans are set in the right direction, as shown in the picture above.
Unfortunately, the flying platform can only be used once - you can't put it in your backpack. So it's a good idea to always have a supply of all Zonai devices in your inventory to be able to build another plane at any time. As you discover more Device Dispensers and new Zonai devices, you will get your hands on upgrades, such as a rocket that will make taking off easier, or a control device.
How to make the first flight?
Launching a flying platform can be quite a challenge. So save your game and follow our instructions.
Put the platform on the edge of the runway and get on it. Hit the weapon anywhere on the platform to activate the Fans. Stand on the top of the wings - the platform should tilt down and start falling.
Quickly climb onto the tail of the platform to raise it up. Charge your Energy Cell with a few Zonai Charges to make your flight longer.
How to steer while flying?
Controlling the flying platform is very simple. Stand on the left or right side of the wings to tilt the platform and turn it in the desired direction.
You can turn the fans on or off at any time to save battery. If you want to land, turn off the device and stand at the bow to lower the platform.
