Due to the game's genre, the walkthrough contains spoilers that reveal certain plot elements. If you continue reading the guide you agree to learn about some of the content, such as new locations or some characters.
Michael
As soon as you get out of the car, you'll run into Michael. Alyson immediately greets him and begins a conversation.
In the conversation you will find only one dialog option:
- Maybe gonna be roommates;
- He wants to move too.
The men immediately find a common ground and tease Alyson. She will give up quickly and go shopping.
Store
At the store, you'll immediately come across Tom, the salesman, and Tessa's husband. He'll inform you that his wife is not in the store at the moment.
You can go shopping while you wait for her.
Let's start with the decision you can make on your own without worrying about your brother. Approach the shelf with candles and take one of them.
Another choice is candies vs. chips. Your brother will give his opinion and remind you how much he loves sweets.
Another choice of what you prefer - an effective or organic cleaner. Alyson thinks ecology comes first.
Juice, water, soda? Your brother will adapt to your choice.
At the same time, this will end your shopping and you can go back to the register.
Meeting Tessa
Right after paying for the groceries, you meet Tessa. At first, she doesn't recognize Tyler. Their conversation will proceed quite naturally, however. The siblings, however, will not get any information about their mother.
You can, however, recall memories that will make it easier for you to talk to your mother's best friend. Let's start with Alyson. Her memories begin near cleaning supplies.
When the memory is over, go back to your brother. He has his own version of the memory that you have to replay.
After listening to the memories, you can go into Tessa's office. There's a figurine in the silver closet.
After going through the siblings' memories, you have to determine which ones you think are correct. Whatever you choose, Tessa won't tell you exactly what their argument was about. You need to recall more memories. To that end, go to Tom and ask him about your mother and her friend's favorite song.
Tyler will immediately point out how many memories the song has attracted. Take a walk around the store and try to piece them all together.
Start with the first memory. It involves dancing in a shop.
When the children reach the candies, they will remember that Tessa often wrote down your mother's debts in a notebook. This leads the siblings to another clue.
When you walk into Tessa's office, you can easily go through her computer and cabinet. In the notebook, you'll find information about your mother's debts and when they saw each other.
Once you've gathered all the information, go to Tessa and talk to her.
During the conversation, you can recall a date - October 2004. That's the date your mother stopped paying off her debts and seeing her friend. Thanks to this, Teressa will start to speak.
Further choice:
- You were mad she bailed on you;
- You told her about the camp;
- You said she was failing us.
If you accuse mom's friend, Alyson and Tessa will have a fight. Tyler will try to calm the atmosphere. The truth is that Tessa will not want to say what happened between her and the children's mother. She felt there were too many variables to assess what happened that day.
