Tell Me Why: Enter the House walkthrough - Chapter 1 Homecoming Tell Me Why guide, walkthrough
Last update: 11 September 2020
On this page of our guide, you will find a walkthrough for the third stage of the game. You'll find out what to do to enter the siblings' House.
Due to the game's genre, the walkthrough contains spoilers that reveal certain plot elements. If you continue reading the guide you agree to learn about some of the content, such as new locations or some characters.
Seeking entry
Let's start with the fact that there's no point in exploring the area until you examine the door. Otherwise, all your interactions will be useless, and the characters will only reminisce about what happened in their lives.
Start by examining the door. When it turns out that the key does not fit, check all other entrances. Two more pairs of door and a passageway from the balcony door lead to the house. You won't be able to open any of them.
When you check every door, your sister will remember passageway under the house you used to play in as kids. Approach the boarded-up entrance. Tyler immediately points out that he needs a screwdriver.
Screwdriver
As a well-mannered child, Tyler wants to unscrew the boards, not destroy them. The screwdriver can be found in the barn. But you have to get inside first.
To do it, first go to the window and look inside. When the siblings notice a screwdriver in the barn, they'll want to get inside. At this point, you'll learn another new mechanic.
The Twins have the ability to recall their memories. That way they'll remember where they hid the key.
Head to the figures of frogs, placed to the left of the farm building. Under the middle figure, you'll find the key - it'll get you inside.
With a screwdriver, you can open the entrance to the house. Just open the passage and enter the old play area.
You can also take bird food from the barn. Take it to the feeder hanging from a tree in front of the house entrance.
The passage under the house
When you get inside, your sister will stay outside. After a while, she'll think she should for you before entering the house. You'll get to know another new mechanic. The twins can speak to each other without words. For now, it will only be some small talk, but in the later parts of the game, it will become a key mechanic. That way you can make plans, regardless of the people around you.
Under the house, you will find many interesting objects that will remind you of your childhood. Tyler will keep his sister up-to-date with the objects he finds, so they will both relive their memories.
One of the most important things under the house is a secret. It lies next to the fireplace. You just have to approach it and put it in the inventory. Tyler will immediately remember one of the scarier stories of their childhood. Pay attention to it. This character plays an important role later in the story.
After collecting the figurine, you finally enter the house. Look at the ceiling and you'll see a hole you can go into. That way you'll enter the building.
