Tell Me Why: Mary-Ann's Box - how to open? Tell Me Why guide, walkthrough
Last update: 11 September 2020
On this page of our Tell Me Why guide you will find out how to unlock the mother's box. You need to solve three puzzles in order to access the contents.
Due to the game's genre, the walkthrough contains spoilers that reveal certain plot elements. If you continue reading the guide you agree to learn about some of the content, such as new locations or some characters.
Start by entering the attic. You need to get to the garage, and then look at the photo your sister gave you. Only then will the game give you the opportunity to check every wall.
The attic door access switch is right by the front door. Just move the boards to get to the switch.
The attic will open, but you can't reach the entrance. You have to go to the utility room and get a ladder. That's how you get to the top.
You'll find a box upstairs. To access it, you need to solve three puzzles. Let's start with the one found on the main attic wall.
The puzzle involves finding the differences between the images. You have to mark things that don't appear in the book version:
- Title;
- Lowest tree;
- Monster's left hand;
- Princess in the trees;
- The castle.
Let's move on to the second puzzle. You need to establish things about your mother's past. The corresponding order of markings is:
- Bird - representing her pet;
- Ballet - a hobby;
- Engineer;
- The painter - her ex-boyfriend.
This will open another box.
Time for one last riddle. You must place the events of Mary-Ann's life in chronological order.:
- Castle;
- Fruit / leaves;
- Clock;
- House
- Dinner.
These names will help you unlock all boxes. It's time to put this together and crack the code.
Look at the letters on the box. They will create a code - LEO. Use it to access mom's locker.
