Tell Me Why: Police station walkthrough - Chapter 1 Homecoming Tell Me Why guide, walkthrough
Last update: 11 September 2020
On this page of our guide, you will find a walkthrough for the sixth stage of the game. You'll find out what you can find at the police station and what needs to be done there.
Due to the game's genre, the walkthrough contains spoilers that reveal certain plot elements. If you continue reading the guide you agree to learn about some of the content, such as new locations or some characters.
Exploration of the police station
Let's start by saying it's best to go to Eddy right away. This way you will open up more passages and you will be able to explore the area freely. However, if you want, you can walk around the station first to search the cabinets or recall some memories. Just walk with your brother and pick up everything you see. At the police station, there will be some memories of the day of his arrest.
To get to Eddy, you just have to go upstairs and knock on the door. The officer will open the door right away. But he will ask you for a moment of patience and send you back down with the keys.
Thanks to the keys, you can open many doors that were previously locked.
Hacking the PC
Once you get the keys, you can hack the computer.
Don't try to do this before that!
Using the keys, you'll open your way to the next part of the station.
Behind closed doors is a locker room where you will find the password for the computer. All you need to do is to open the padlock with the key and then read the cipher properly.
A detailed description of the solution to the puzzle can be found on a separate page of our guide - Hacking the PC
The password to the computer is SALEM - you must use it on D. Wilson's account.
Coffee and interrogation room
Start this phase of the game by drinking coffee. Otherwise you won't get into the interrogation room. Alyson decides that she has too many memories there to go in.
When you pour the coffee, Tyler will start thinking about the interrogation. Together, you can recall your memories.
The most important thing in the interrogation room is found against the wall, right next to the cabinet. You can find the last figurine there.
Eddy
After you search the station, you can go back to Eddy. You'll have a short conversation, which will end the first chapter of the game. In the dialog, you can choose one of the following lines:
- Mary-Ann worried about something?
- What were her last day like?
In both cases, you'll find out that Eddy didn't see her before that terrible night.
When you get down, you'll reach one of the bigger choices. You have to decide whether defending the meetings with your brother was a good idea. You can side with either Eddy or Tyler.
However, the entire chapter ends with a memory. In it, you'll discover the truth about killing your mother.
