Sea of Thieves is powered by a very powerful engine called Unreal Engine 4. Thanks to that, the player can enter a well created world with realistic shadows and light reflexes. Weaker computers will have trouble with generating such impressive graphics, but if someone only cares for gameplay, then Sea of Thieves can be played even with hardware than meets minimum system requirements. All you need to do is lower the value of the relevant graphics options.
