Our walkthrough for Return to Monkey Island explains how to return to LeChuck's ship in Part 3, as well as how to determine LeChuck's favorite food, Theme Song and Catchphrase.

In Part 3 of Return to Monkey Island, you have to get on LeChuck's ship again - you will need a new disguise. The walkthrough in our guide also explains how to learn LeChuck's secrets, which are his catchphrase, the favorite food and the song.

Find a way to sneak back on to LeChuck's ship

You will receive the quest to find out LeChuck's secrets after meeting the pirate leaders on Monkey Island, but first you need to get on LeChuck's ship.

Move to Volcano Beach (the left one, next to the moored ship on the map). Click on the ship - Guybrush will enter the water and start walking along the bottom.

Keep going left until you reach One Big Anchor. Interact with her twice - Guybrush will climb up the chain.

You'll be on the side of the ship. Try to climb the ladder to the main deck - Guybrush will be stopped by Flair and thrown overboard. You will learn that the protagonist needs a new disguise.

Climb up again using the anchor, but this time move left, to the rudder and Gullet trapped in it.

You have to help Gullet write a poem you can choose, for example:

1. squirms;
2. roses;
3. cracked.

After the conversation is over, select the Business Card from the inventory that you received from Conrad the museum curator in part 1. You will receive Gullet's poems.

Go back to the shore and select the Giant Monkey Head location from the island map. After reaching it, go right and you will come across the pirate leaders again. During the conversation, you must talk about accessing LeChuck's ship and creating a new disguise.

Return to Madison with physical secret and get disguise

You will learn that you need to obtain a personal item from one of LeChuck's undead crew members. You already own this item - Gullet's Poems. Watch a cut-scene of preparing a magic disguise and you will receive a Disguise Poem.

You have to return to LeChuck's ship (you can select it from the island map). After you reach the side of the ship, open your inventory and recite the disguise poem. This will transform Guybrush into Gullet. You can climb onto the main deck - Flair won't throw you overboard.

You can now deal with LeChuck's three secrets, which we described below.

Learn LeChuck's catchphrase

You need to get to LeChuck's Cabin - the entrance to it is below deck.

There you will find LeChuck's Diary. Take it.

Open the diary immediately after selecting it from the inventory - after reading it, you will need to learn LeChuck's favorite catchphrase. This is a puzzle, because there are various catchphrases in the journal and you have to choose the right one. Note - The game may generate a different content of the diary, so it is important to read the following pages.

The first clue is the last mention about the catchphrase in the diary. In our example, it was an entry from April 10, in which there was information about returning to the earlier catchphrase from the 17th.

You must go back to the entry mentioned in the previous one. In our example, it was the entry from February 17 with the catchphrase Plunder my blasphemous timbers.

You don't need to do anything else, and don't worry if the journal objective hasn't updated. The catchphrase has to be said later in the chapter, during the ritual. You can write it down somewhere.

Find LeChuck's favorite food

As for the favorite food, you have to talk to Putra in the Galley. As a reminder, the entrance to it is below the deck, on the left.

Putra will not tell you right away what LeChuck's favorite food is. You have to select the dialogue option You're the best chef I've ever known. Putra will be happy to call her a chef (instead of a cook) and reveal that the dish is Tentacles with daisy sauce.

You must return to the seabed under LeChuck's ship - go back to the main deck, use the ladder and slide down the anchor chain.

Head left and you will find a hidden octopus. Click on it to watch a cut-scene.

Go to Volcano Beach. You should find a dead octopus on it - use the Knife. You will get a Tentacle.

Return to Putra and give her the tentacle. Once Putra is done cooking, take Tentacles with Daisy Sauce. This way you will learn LeChuck's secret.

Find LeChuck's theme song

Reach the main deck and go right to the rudder area. Ring the bell once. This is to lure out Flair from the place where she was busy composing the melody.

Avoid the pirates and go below the deck. Go left to where Flair was standing. Here you will find Sheet Music, thanks to which you will be able to determine LeChuck's favorite theme song (you can examine the sheet music immediately in the inventory).
