Amulets play a crucial role in upgrading our character's abilities and skills in the most recent release of the iconic series. When equipped, these powerful artifacts provide Sargon with a variety of additional skills, buffs, and bonuses. On this guide page, we present all the most important issues related to the mechanics of interchangeable amulets. We show you how to upgrade them, and finally, we also provide a list, in our opinion, of the best amulets worth using.
Where to find and how to use amulets?
There are several ways to obtain amulets in The Lost Crown. Some of them can be found while exploring the Citadel. You'll receive some amulets as a reward for completing quests. Others will be available for purchase from one of the merchants. Descriptions of individual quests contain information about rewards, and the merchants' inventory changes from time to time, so it's worth taking a closer look at the available enhancements every now and then.
After acquiring a new amulet, Sargon won't be able to use it immediately. To do this, you must go to one of the Wak-Wak trees. After interacting with the tree, you'll be able to change the amulets you are currently using.
Each amulet has its own wearing cost, which uses up available slots. During the game, you'll have the opportunity to increase your "carrying capacity" by finding the right collectibles or buying new slots from one of the merchants (Mage).
How to upgrade amulets?
You can upgrade the amulet in the workshop of the goddess Kaheva. The portal to her dimension is located in the central part of the Lower City, to the left of the Mage's camp. After gathering enough time crystals, the goddess will lend you her abilities and enhance your amulet, improving its qualities. Many amulets come with multiple upgrade levels, so it's a good idea to consider investing in your favourite bonus.
Best Amulets
Dragon King
A powerful artifact that you receive after finding the Moon Gatherer and accepting his side quest in the Sacred Archives. Thanks to this amulet, Sargon is revived with a small amount of health after receiving a fatal blow (further enhancements increase the amount of health with which the protagonist is revived). The effect works once and renews after activating the Wak-Wak tree.
This powerful effect provides protection in case of an error and will certainly turn the tide of many fights.
Blessing
You'll receive this amulet during your first conversation with the Mage in the Lower City. It gives Sargon a few extra live points. Bonus health, once lost, cannot be replenished with a regular healing potion, but it will regenerate at the Wak-Wak tree.
Blade Dancer
This amulet allows you to perform an additional attack during a combo. This enhances Sargon's fighting capabilities significantly, which are further boosted after upgrading the amulet.
Ecbatana Seal
An amulet that attracts Time crystals towards the protagonist. While it doesn't enhance Sargon's offensive abilities, it will definitely save you a lot of frustration from chasing after the currency.
