Replays in PUBG PUBG Guide and Tips
Last update: 01 August 2019
Replay is an interesting mechanic that was introduced in update 1.0. It lets you save your match and then replay whenever you want - thanks to that you can check other players' actions, learn something interesting or simply use it as evidence and report a player for cheating.
How to watch Replays?
First, you have to play at least one match. When it ends, it will be saved as a replay. Then, you have to open the main menu, click on Replays tab, select a desired match and press Play. After a few seconds you are moved to the map where you can watch that particular match.
How to use Replays?
Their most important role is that you can watch an entire match which means that you can see other players' actions even though you didn't make a contact with them. You can use them to improve your skills (observing tactics of those who reached the top) or to report a cheater.
While watching a Replay you can use a few buttons and get access to all functions. These buttons are:
- "J" key displays a timeline - you can rewind it freely and select an interesting moment or to skip the part where you are flying in the plane.
- "P" key is for pausing and resuming a replay.
- "Up" (arrow up) and "Down" (arrow down) keys let you increase or to lower a replay's playback speed.
- "B" key lets you go back to your character.
- "Space" key activates free camera - here, you have a full movement control and you can move around the entire map.
Warning - Replays that were done in a different version of the game (e.g. when you were playing on test servers) can be (and will almost always be) incompatible. You can notice an exclamation mark which indicates that this particular recording doesn't work.
