Puft creature in Oxygen Not Included
Puft is one of the less common, non-aggressive creatures. A chubby being, which flies and rises in random directions. It has an extraordinary metabolism, as it inhales contaminated oxygen and produces Slime after some time. It occurs most often in caves with contaminated water and oxygen and some amount of pure oxygen; usually in the toxic biome. On some maps, a very small number of these animals is generated. They are also vulnerable to high temperatures, which can prove to be fatal.
Morb creature in Oxygen Not Included
Morb is a small animal with one eye and four short tentacles. This is the most common species, which occurs especially often in caves with different gases. It can jump one field and also climb two fields. It inhales any kind of available gas and emits contaminated oxygen. Thanks to this, it can be used as a filter for unwanted gases, and as an intermediary in the production of oxygen. It does not withstand high temperatures, just like your duplicates. Important! A Morb is also created from time to time from the corpses of your fallen duplicates, until you bury the body.
Hatch creature in Oxygen Not Included
Hatch is a nocturnal animal, which looks like a predator, but is not aggressive. Although, if you attack it, it will start to defend itself. Its body yields one piece of high calorie meat. It lies buried in the ground throughout the entire day, just like a mole (but it will remain active until it finds soft ground to burrow). At night, it comes out from its hiding place and searches for food. If it encounters some resources in its way, it will consume up to 50 kg of the material (up to a maximum of 3 times a night). When it is full, it will leave behind 125kg of coal. If there is only coal along its path, it will also eat it and release the same amount of coal again.
Drecko creature in Oxygen Not Included
You can find it in Caustic Biome. It looks silly and it behaves so as well. They don't pose a direct threat to the duplicants, but they will respond aggressively when attacked. Their damage is very small - a single duplicant can easily defeat a few Drecko. They eat various plants - you should secure your farms from them by building a room for Dreco, with door and far from the farm. If Dreco won't find a plant to eat, it will attack and eat the first creature it encounters. After eating meat it excrements 5kg of Phosphorite. You can gather Reed Fiber from a Dreco farm. It can be used for creating clothes for duplicants. It adds +10 to decation.
Glossy Dreco creature in Oxygen Not Included
Contrary to regular Dreco, these have a limited life span. They live for 150 circles. They behave just like regular Dreco. Glossy Dreco ranch can provide you with Plastic that is useful in more advanced constructions.
Pacu creature in Oxygen Not Included
Pacu eats 140g Algae per circle while producing 70kg of Polluted Dirt. These creatures are exceptionally passive - they won't respond even to attacks. Most of the time, they just swim in Polluted Water and pollute the air. Breeding them is time consuming - an egg appears every 25 circles. They can be captured only into a fish trap. Killing Pacu gives you 1600 calories of meat. Breeding them isn't profitable - they eat much Algae while providing small quantities of meat. However, you should hunt for wild ones. There are two other types of Pacu in the game, they are quite similar to regular Pacu.
Tropical Pacu creature in Oxygen Not Included
Tropical Pacu appears only in locations where temperature is above 35 degrees. The fish has a quality that makes it worth to raise it - it increases the decor level by 25 points. Placing Tropical Pacu and Shine Bug in locations can result in a constant increase in morale.
Gulp Fish creature in Oxygen Not Included
The most useful Pacu fish, appearing only in locations where temperature drops below -5 degrees. Gulp Fish changes Polluted Water into Water. Despite its immense usefulness, it is very difficult to raise, as if the temperature increases above 5 degrees, our Gulp Fish will die. Our fish-like friend lays eggs every 14 cycles.
Shove Vole creature in Oxygen Not Included
An atomic pest. It easts all blocks it encounters on its way except for Abyssalite. Then it excrements 50% of their mass. It can destroy doors and tiles. You can breed them, but even after taming they will attempt to escape and eat encountered blocks. The most effective way to stop them is with ladders and lasers. These creatures aren't hostile and they don't respond to attacks. You should breed them due to the high food drop - a single one can provide 16.000 calories of meat.
Shine Bug creature in Oxygen Not Included
A few of them can be found in the caves where the oxygen is produced from oxylite. Shine Bugs frequently accompany wild plant farms. They eat 300g of Phosphorite while creating a random Bristle or Gristle berry seed. Their light has a range of 5 fields in each direction. They increase decoration level by 30 points. They are completely harmless, killing them isn't profitable as they don't drop anything. It is better to tame them and let them fly in the base and increase the decoration level.
Pokeshell creature in Oxygen Not Included
A peaceful animal that can be encountered in water biomes. They feast on Polluted Dirt, every now and again replacing it with Sand. From time to time, Pokeshells leave Pokeshell Molt, which can be used when producing steel. Most of the time, Pokeshells are not dangerous, but if there are eggs nearby, it even can attack our colonists. They are back to normal once the colonists manage to take the egg or when one of our machines do it.
Gassy Moo creature in Oxygen Not Included
They can be found in various biomes, especially in the green ones. They live in caves filled with gas. They live up to 75 circles. They aren't aggressive, they don't attack and they don't respond when attacked. After killing a single Gassy Moo you will receive 16.000 meat calories. They reduce decoration level by 10 points within the range of a single field. In future version of the game it will be possible to gain milk from them.
Slickster creature in Oxygen Not Included
As they appear in magma biomes, cannot die from overheating, but can freeze. During their travels, they hide in various tiles, similarly to Hatches. They are passive until attacking them, but their damage dealt is not dangerous even to lone duplicants. Slicksters eat 25 kg of carbon dioxide per cycle, producing a byproduct - oil. Duplicants can tame and reproduce them, their eggs are viable as food. Slickster is caught using Critter Trap. Killing Slickster yields 3.2 kg of meat. His presence increases the décor of the room by 15 points.
Pip creature in Oxygen Not Included
A very peaceful animal, its traits are similar to Dreckos. Encountered on every biome, digging through various resources. Most of the time, they appear in dirt and sand. If we kill them, we receive 1kg of meat, but Pip adds +10 to décor. Moreover, it plants plants and lays eggs. Keep away from supplies, if possible keep them behind pneumatic doors, because if left unchecked, Pip can make a mess in our supplies.
