How to deal with Nurikabe and Mimic in NiOh 2? NiOh 2 guide, walkthrough
Last update: 23 April 2020
Nurikabe and Mimic are creatures which you may encounter during your journey. Both of these creatures block access to specific places and objects. On this page of our guide to NiOh 2 you will learn how to defeat these opponents.
Nurikabe
Nurikabe is a Yokai that imitates walls. You can locate them thanks to careful exploration. If a particular wall has two holes of similar size, located at the same height, then you can assume that you are dealing with a hidden passage. To confirm your suspicions, approach the wall - eyes appearing in the hole mean that this is a secret passage.
There are two ways to open it. The first is combat - when you attack Nurikabe, it will immediately fight back and reveal the passage. If you chose violent approach, watch out for its area attacks and boulder throws.
Using gestures is a much safer solution. You have two attempts to guess the correct color. If the creature's eyes glow red, then you have to use another one (in total there are three types to choose from which gives you a good chance of success).
Mimic
Mimic, on the other hand, guards all chests. If you come across a box that has three stripes on its wall, then you can be sure that you're dealing with this creature. To save it, you have to whistle. The creature will jump out and make a specific gesture. You have to repeat this action to gain access to the content it protects.
