Johan Pilestedt is curious about what Helldivers 2 fans would want from the Arrowhead studio's new game. Besides the fact that it should be full of amazing moments.

The developers of Helldivers 2 are already considering ideas for their next game. Johan Pilestedt, the creative director of Arrowhead Game Studios, casually shared this information in a post published on X.

The Swede asked the players directly what they want from his studio's new project. He admitted that he is currently working on a high concept, which is a very general and easily presentable idea. In other words, the team hasn't started any work yet, but apparently, AGS is seriously thinking about the next game.

Of course, internet users eagerly rushed to help. One of the HD 2 fans hinted at a space shooter in the style of the Star Fox series, in which players would pilot Eagles known from Helldivers 2. As it turns out, Arrowhead studio has worked on a similar project in the past and Pilestedt even showed some concept art. The dev added that the title of this unreleased title was supposed to be Eagles of Democracy, and the prototype was developed on the Unreal Engine.

Fans also threw out other suggestions, including ones as amusing/intriguing as a life simulator in the style of The Sims (yes, in the Helldivers series universe), a serious game in the style of Mass Effect, or a shooter referring to the Smash TV series. Pilestedt suggested (in response to questions about current trends in games) that the primary aim of AGS is simple: to develop good games that are a "pure pursuit of amazing moments."
