Most reviewers are of the opinion that it's better to wait for Ryzen 4000 series - especially since AMD has just confirmed that it will appear later this year.

Intel has another reason to fear competition from AMD. Ryzen 5 3600 beat Intel's flagship i9-9900KF in a single thread performance benchmark. This is all the more surprising because Intel chipsets usually dominate this test, and Ryzen 5 3600 is a middle class CPU.
