Money is important in both real and virtual lives (we have to pay somehow for swords). In the case of Mirthwood, probably the first time you will feel the lack of gold, will be when you decide to craft Iron tools. Why? You will have to buy Iron Tool Kit for 750 gold coins. Definitely too expensive component for my purse, at least it used to be. Because of that, I started to wonder how to get money quickly. Sadly, quests in this game are not very profitable, so what is?

So, you are here to earn money, aren’t you? It might be shocking, but I do not recommend farming. You start with a little bit of money, and you have to eat, so it is good to buy some peas and onions seeds and grow them to make a simple soup. If you die from hunger, some of your money will be lost, so keep that in mind. Farming, however, is far from being profitable at the beginning, as you would have to spend a lot of gold for seeds. There is another way, though.

There are many friendly NPCs in the town/village south of your house. You should find a Blacksmith there. This person will give you a bow for free. Now, equipped with the new weapon, hunt deer. They will respawn quite often and can be encountered even near your base (and in more or less safe areas). Take their pelts. They can be sold for quite a sum. Moreover, while roaming forests, you can gather some herbs to craft potions and open some containers.

Another way to make a quick profit is to farm Copper ores around your base and in the vicinity. Smelt them into bars. They can be sold for quite a high price, too.
