Hunter's house, kitchen Monster Hunter Generations Guide

Last update: 05 September 2016

In MHGen you will have access to four different villages - Hunters house, kitchen - Villages and quests - Monster Hunter Generations Game Guide

In MHGen you will have access to four different villages. You start in Bherna, after which you will soon unlock access to the remaining three. Those are: Kokoto (from the first Monster Hunter), Pokke (from the second one) and Yukumo (known from the third installment of the franchise). Those nostalgic elements are the reason behind Monster Hunter Generations name. In each village you will be able to find all of the basic elements: your house, all of the stands, cook, chief of the village and so on. However, each village differs from another and each one of them are inhabited / visited by entirely different NPCs, giving you access to plethora of quests. Additionally, Hunter's Hub can be treated as a separate village (or rather settlement), as you can find all of the things you will need there. Those allow for proper preparations for quests, equipment upgrades and saving game without the need to interrupt the on-line session.

Hunter's House

The most important element of each village is without a doubt your home - Hunters house, kitchen - Villages and quests - Monster Hunter Generations Game Guide

The most important element of each village is without a doubt your home. It is here that you will be able to (between quests) save the game (by going into bed), change your equipment, manage Palico and other aspects of the game. Additionally, each house has a "housemaid" - she (or he) gives you access to a number of useful shortcuts, practically eliminating the need to visit Palico Ranch. The housemaid is also used to download new, free DLC content that is regularly released.

When it comes to the Ranch (which can be found only in Bherna village), here you can find all the activities associated with the cat companions - the cat guardian, cat Dojo and the Meownster Hunter mini-game - Hunters house, kitchen - Villages and quests - Monster Hunter Generations Game Guide

When it comes to the Ranch (which can be found only in Bherna village), here you can find all the activities associated with the cat companions - the cat guardian, cat Dojo and the Meownster Hunter mini-game. Additionally, a hunter called Neko can be found here. This NPC allows you to order various resources from farms and purchase rare crafting materials by using the Wycademy Points, a special in-game currency that can be gained by, for instance, completing quests.

Kitchen

Another important place in very village is the field kitchen - Hunters house, kitchen - Villages and quests - Monster Hunter Generations Game Guide

Another important place in very village is the field kitchen. Visiting the kitchen before starting every quests should be mandatory. Every meal consumed before going on the hunt will buff your character for the duration of the quest. By carefully selecting the meal and the spices you will not only be able to temporarily increase the stats of your character, but also acquire additional special "buffs", extremely helpful when completing the quests (the chances of receiving them are random to a certain degree). The effects of the meal you've consumed will last for the duration of the whole quest - provided that you won't be incapacitated during it. The first "death" during a hunt will automatically take out all of the effects of the consumed meal. The only exception are the meals that give you a special effect preventing from losing meal benefits upon death. As always, the full list of meals and the recipes for them can be found in the links at the end of the guide.
