Let us begin this chapter with things that will be crucial during your whole adventure in MHGen, regardless of your experience with the game. There are multiple websites on the Internet that have information about every aspect associated with Monster Hunter, but for the purpose of this guide we will limit this to four most important ones.
Monster Hunter Wikia (which I proudly cooperate with)
A website created and led by veterans of the franchise. MH Wikia is constantly supplemented with new things and contains information about all of the available Monster Hunter games, together with the mobile titles that people from the West didn't even know about.

Kiranico
A relatively new portal, a direct competition to the MH Wikia. Information contained on this site have a slightly different structure. This allows easier and faster access to the most basic in-game mechanics, but on the other hand you won't find more detailed descriptions there.

Ping's Dex
The youngest of the websites, containing rich and easy to access information. The site is translated to a number of different languages and is trivial to navigate through, but the biggest advantage over the rest of websites is the possibility to download all of the knowledge stored there as an easy to use program.

MHGen Database (Android OS)
A decent solution to all of the players equipped with tablets and smartphones with the Android system. This type of access to the most wanted information about MHGen is probably the most comfortable one, as it goes well with playing on a portable console.
