Destroy AA Guns - part 1 | Operation Der Flakturm MoH: Airborne Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
You will have to destroy four AA guns. This means you'll take part in a lot of difficult fights. The only good news is that you won't have to worry about any snipers, because you will land on the upper platform of the flak tower. Instead, you will have to kill 3-4 armored soldiers, as well as 20-30 standard units. You will be dealing mostly with larger groups, however if you decide to use nearby objects to your advantage, you should be just fine. Additionally, you will be able to kill most of the enemy soldiers from larger distances and you will receive help from your teammates.
Approach:
This time I'd strongly recommend choosing one of the green zones (screen), mostly because you won't have any problems proceeding to the AA guns. Don't land on the ground, though. Instead, choose an upper balcony, so you'll have a better view at the surroundings.
Reaching your target:
If you had decided to land on the small balcony, you will have to move to the north-east. Obviously you should be keeping a crouching stance here. Try eliminating at least 3-4 soldiers. I wouldn't recommend exposing yourself too much. Just make sure that you'll clear your path to the first AA gun. Obviously you should be using a sniper rifle during these fights, especially since you won't have to worry about ammo supplies.
Once you've killed all visible soldiers, turn around and head on to a safe zone. You will have to jump down to a lower platform, however you won't receive any injuries. As you've probably noticed by now, there are a lot of crates here. Open them if you need medkits or ammunition. Start moving towards the first AA gun.
Just as before, you will have to use the sniper rifle to kill all enemy units. Make sure that you're shooting at them from a very large distance. You should also find a good cover before you start attacking them. I would recommend that you secure some of the upper balconies. The closest one shouldn't be guarded by anyone, but it would be wise to make sure that it stays that way.
You will also encounter several entrances to the flak tower along the way (screen). If you're carrying a sniper rifle, you may as well ignore these corridors. You would only need them to get closer to enemy troops with a machine gun. I suspect that you have a sniper rifle in your inventory, so you should stay on the outside.
