Combat - how to fight in Harry Potter Wizards Unite? Harry Potter Wizards Unite guide, tips
Last update: 25 June 2019
In addition to the basic mechanics of catching magical creatures, in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite you will also encounter fights and battles. You usually fight with strong magical opponents. On this page of our guide to Harry Potter Wizards Unite you will learn how to fight, how to defend yourself and where you can find creatures willing to fight.
Combat
Combat is divided into three phases: pointing and aiming with wand, attacking and defending yourself from enemy's attacks.
To aim, you must align the circle with the circle on the enemy's body. Simply quickly swipe down the screen with your finger to lower the symbol and match the icon. Once you've hit it, you'll have to keep it at that point. This is difficult if the creature is fast and constantly moving.
If you succeed in targeting, you can attack the enemy. You have no influence on the spell your hero chooses, but your task is to draw a symbol that appears on the screen. You can also activate potions to increase damage or health potions to regenerate.
The last phase is defense. It can start if you fail to aim the wand at your opponent in time (in this case the attack phase will be completely omitted). The defense phase also appears after your attack.
The defense consists in moving the finger in the right direction. Remember, however, that even if you perform the spell well, it will not completely compensate for the damage dealt by enemies.
Where can I fight?
Fight first of all, you can roll in the fortresses. These are huge buildings located in a world where you can perform magical tasks.
You can fight in the fortress alone or with your four fellow friends.
When you travel through the game world, you may encounter quirks. They appear usually at night and in secluded streets. If you defeat an opponent, you will receive a prize and the game places the defeated opponent in the registry.
