The story begins when a mysterious Black Knight kidnaps Nevin, a boy living in the forests of White Kingdom. The player assumes control of Gillian, the boy’s mother who attempts to pursue the knight in order to save her son. The game takes place on static, hand-drawn locations.

This time, the player assumes the role of Lila, the niece of the popular Dawn Ashmoore, who is abducted by Seth. Yet again, the players get to explore diversified locations, collect multiple items, and solve various puzzles.

Using Ariadne's Thread, the protagonist explores many diverse locations and overcomes the numerous obstacles she encounters.

She conducts an investigation into a homicide of a woman and a mysterious disappearance of her daughter. The heroine soon learns that there is a new and evil force involved in the case and the unusual events may have something to do with her own vague origin.

The protagonist is a young alchemy adept, who returns home and tries to find her lost parents. The search leads her towards a dark secret, which threatens the whole kingdom. The gameplay in Lost Grimoires: Stolen Kingdom consists of solving various puzzles and finding various hidden objects.

The search of the relative leads Mary through blackwoods that teem with ancient power, steep mountain paths, and ruins that are full of imps, ghosts and other mythical creatures.
