RPG

September 27, 2016

A dark fantasy cRPG developed by debuting studio Red Hook. The story is set in a dark, medieval-like universe. While exploring ruins of an old castle and its dungeons, you face off against forces of darkness that overwhelmed the land because of the reckless actions of its previous sovereign. As you delve into the depths, you discover the dark history of a family who brought the evil upon the world. The gameplay focuses on dungeon crawling - dungeons filled with traps and crawling with monsters that need to be dealt with during turn-based combat sequences. An original idea is the sanity indicator of your heroes. Each team member has different personality and reacts differently to what is happening around him/her. Therefore, while playing you should keep an eye on their well being and fear levels, alleviating their stress by drinking alcohol or brawling, if needed.

An action-adventure game stylistically inspired by Japanese horrors. The game was developed by Nude Maker studio in cooperation with many genre veterans, who have created such franchises as Clock Tower, Silent Hill, and the Ju-On movie series. The player assumes the role of one of the surviving passengers - his task is to discover the identity of the killer. The gameplay mechanics of the game focus on adventure-related activities such as exploration, collecting items, conversations and solving riddles (some of which have a time limit). From time to time one can also encounter action sequences. However, the player's objective is not to fight, but to hide from the murdered and – in case of being discovered – escape.

Adventure

August 30, 2016

An extended edition of Claire - a survival horror game released in 2014. In comparison to the original release, the new edition brings mainly improved audiovisuals. Once again, the development works were carried out by Hailstorm Games. The game still offers a two-dimensional environment and pixel-art graphics. However, the creators managed to implement both 3D objects and depth of field effects. Both the plot and mechanics remain unchanged, thus the protagonist, the titular teenager, faces both monsters and demons from her past when exploring the building of a haunted school. For the most part, the player traverses the game world, managing their equipment and avoiding direct contact with the enemies. Importantly, an in-game fear meter constantly monitors the player's actions - when it reaches maximum, the protagonist can die.

Puzzle

November 6, 2018

Slayaway Camp is an unusual turn-based logic game developed by an independent studio called Blue Wizard Digital. When working on their game, the developers have drawn their inspirations from the 1980s horror movies and at the same decided to mock their cheesy themes. The player assumes the role of a psychopathic murderer tasked with killing the teenagers who relax on their summer holidays. The maps are relatively small and composed of square fields. The characters can move only in straight lines and stop only if they encounter an obstacle. With these limitations in mind, the player has to reach their destination, avoid traps and other threats, and lead their victims and police officers to the deadly traps. With time, one can unlock more playable characters and gadgets used in the game. The game features a humorous style, in which all the characters and locations look as if they were built from large bricks, while the murders themselves are more funny than terrifying.
