In addition, we need to manage the crew and improve our unit. An additional attraction is the fact that every time you start a new game, the world is generated randomly.

It is modelled on the classics of the genre - X-Wing, Freespace and X-Com series. The player's task is to repel the invasion of Earth and destroy the enemy's main base on the moon.

The game takes place in the universe known from the first installment of the series and from the turn-based game Star Traders 4X Empires. The title allows the player to assume the role of a captain of a space ship who is trying to earn money for himself and his crew. During the game player completes various tasks, gradually improves his ship, recruits and trains the crew, of which every member has different personality and their strong and weak points. Star Traders 2 RPG offers many opportunities for combat in turn-based system not only in space, but also in atmosphere and on the surface of the planet. The title offers complete freedom of acting thanks to which one can decide whether he wants to be a space pirate, a merchant, a bounty hunter, a mercenary, a soldier or a spy. One can also freely combine various career paths.

The whole was kept in an old-school style.

Another entry in the strategy game series created by the legendary developer Sid Meier. In a way it us a continuation to the Civilization franchise, especially Beyond Earth, to which it is connected with its story. What is different is that this time we leave our planet’s surface and focus on managing a fleet of vessels in space. We lead an expedition with a task to save a distant civilization from doom, which requires protecting certain planets and eliminating things that threaten them. Class units are replaced by spaceships, which we can modify and upgrade freely. There is also a complex technology tree known from Civilization games, and victory can be achieved in several ways. Sid Meier’s Starships uses the engine from last few entries in the series, although the visuals have been slightly simplified on mobile devices.

A mobile strategy simulation game and the first production by Stromtide Limited, created with the help of astronautics experts. In Satellite Command your task is to oversee a satellite network orbiting the Earth. There are 150 mission in the game, featuring various goals, and your main obstacles are your limited resources and the permadeath system, severely punishing you for even the smallest of mistakes. You have to e.g. manage the parameters of particular satellites, their applications and names, as well as purchase the necessary upgrades and set the satellites' orbits. You have to carefully plan all your actions from the very beginning, so you can avoid creating a space collision, which would mean starting the game from scratch. Satellite Command utilizes the advanced Unreal Engine 4.

A combination of a first-person shooter, adventure game and 3D platformer inspired by Metroid, Ratchet & Clank and the Turok series. In Morphite, we play as a young woman called Myrah, who embarks on a journey through space. During her adventure the players can visit many randomly generated planets using a a space ship. When we are on the planets' surfaces we can, e.g. jump on platforms, drive various vehicles, solve environmental puzzles, find resources and fight with enemies. Myrah possesses many useful tools, a diverse range of weapons and a special scanner which is used for finding weapons, as well as ship and suit upgrades. When we are in space we also need to face aggressive enemies. Morphite's graphics are "angular" and the game uses a more cartoonish visual style.

Battlefleet Gothic: Leviathan

A mobile battle-strategy game set in the world of Warhammer 40,000. It is a virtual rendition of Battlefleet Gothic - a tabletop game published by Games Workshop. Battlefleet Gothic: Leviathan was developed by Grand Cauldron and offers an extensive campaign based on the stories from expansions, comic strips and novels belonging to the Shield of Baal series. Battlefleet Gothic: Leviathan follows the Tyranids' invasion of the Cryptus system, as a result of which humanity loses majority of their ships together with Admiral Julius van Avacor. The player assumes the role of his successor who tries to hold the system until backup arrives. The player participates in turn-based battles set in space and based on the rules of the original tabletop game. The pace of the gameplay here is slow, resembling sea battles. Taking into account both the advantages and disadvantages of different ships having their individual features and weaponry is the key to achieve success in battle. In the campaign, the player is free to pick a side, choosing either the Empire or the Tyranids. Subsequent races and missions are added over time in post-release updates.

The player assumes the role of John, a pilot of the Federation woken from a thousand-year cryogenic sleep initiated by an artificial intelligence called Ellie during a great war against the Rebels. His task is not only to discover how the conflict ended but also to defend humanity from a new threat. At the core of Star Horizon are grand-scale space battles in which we participate sitting at the helm of a fighter. Our task is to aim at hostiles and make evasive maneuvers to avoid collision with enemy projectiles and elements of the environment. We can also replace ship parts and mount more powerful armaments. The course of the campaign is shaped by our decisions to a large extent – the game puts great emphasis on story and developing friendship between John and Ellie, while we can side with either the Federation or the Rebels.

A sandbox space simulator developed by a lone designer, Damiano Vitulli. The action of NovaVoyager is set in a distant future, when humanity colonizes new planetary systems. Starting out, we receive our first ship and then decide whether we want to pursue a career of a mercenary, a pirate, a pioneer, or a miner. We can also combine all of these to create our own path. The fun takes place in a galaxy that teems with life, recreated in 1:1 scale on the basis of genuine astronomical data. The universe is densely filled with space bases and colonies where there is a myriad of varied quests and business opportunities. The game is characterized by impressive realism of the behavior of our ship, which can be controlled from the cockpit or in the third-person perspective. The extensive controls system also allows for manipulation of numerous onboard systems.
