Juno: New Origins Description
Juno: New Origins (previously known as SimpleRockets 2) is a sequel to the space simulator from 2015. Although the theme of its predecessor has been preserved, the mechanics have been expanded. The game was created and published by Jundroo.
Mechanics
The mechanics of Juno: New Origins have been expanded since its predecessor. Once again, the game revolves around building vehicles in a special editor; the range of available vehicles has been expanded, so other than spacecraft, players can now build other machines, such as airplanes. The parts used for construction are now fully modifiable, with their shape able to be adjusted according to your needs. Additionally, the engines themselves can now also be edited.
The mechanics of space exploration have been improved as well. For a successful flight you need enough fuel and precise control over your vehicle. The game is now 3D, so the vehicles can be controlled in two different planes rather than just one, as in the predecessor. The trajectory planning tool has been modified, letting you plan your path more precisely. The planet atmosphere is also important, as it can heat up materials to high temperatures. If your vehicle's design isn't up to par, the heat might damage or destroy it.
The works created in Juno: New Origins can be shared with the game's community. All projects made public by their creators can be downloaded on the game's official website.
Technical aspects
Unlike its predecessor, the graphics of Juno: New Origins are fully 3D. Once again, the developers emphasized realism and made sure the vehicles were compliant with the laws of physics.
