Morphite is a combination of a first person shooter, adventure game and 3D platformer developed by Crescent Moon Games. The game was inspired by classics – Metroid, Ratchet & Clank and Turok. Besides many other platforms, the game is also available on PC, AND and etc..

Plot

Morphite is set in distant future. The game's main character is Myrah Kale who, along with her foster father, runs a workshop on one of space stations. A routine exploratory mission to gather some supplies turns into the biggest adventure in the heroine's life – she gets a chance to solve a mystery regarding her unknown past and what is the connection between her and the titular mineral which is almost impossible to get. In order to find answers the girl must embark on a journey to the farthest parts of space.

Mechanics

The action in Morphite, released on PC, AND and etc., is presented from first person perspective. The core of the game is to travel through the Universe's outer regions – we can visit many randomly generated planets and in order to travel between them we can use a space ship (a build-in map makes navigation much easier).

When we are on a surface we need to jump on platforms (and avoid all dangers), solve various environment puzzles, find resources (the excess can be later sold) and enemies of various sizes (including powerful bosses). We can travel by foot or by using vehicles, which can be found during the game.

Myrah has various useful tools. Besides a diverse range of weapons the heroine uses a special scanner. By scanning newly discovered creatures we get access to weapons and ship upgrades. It is important because space isn't safe – from time to time, we participate in space battles during which we can make a good use of our onboard weapons. We should also remember to upgrade Myrah's space suit because some planets have harsh environments.

Technical aspects

What distinguishes Morphite, available on PC, AND and etc., from other productions is its original and cartoony graphics. The soundtrack is this game's another plus. The fact that the developers made all NPCs dialogs that are connected with the main story fully voiced is also worth mentioning.
