Chorus Review: Satisfying Combat Distracts From A Lackluster Protagonist
Chorus misses out on the opportunity to let the player decide who the protagonist is, choosing instead to force a dramatic end-of-the-world scenario on the player that cheapens the ability to explore and take on side-missions. Read our review.

Chorus Description
Chorus is a space shooter developed by the Fishlabs team. That game was published by the studio's owner, Deep Silver.
Plot
In Chorus we play as Nara, an outstanding pilot and former high-ranking member of a cult called The Circle, which terrorizes almost the entire galaxy. Tormented by remorse, Nara tries to lead a simple life in a distant star system. However, the Circle's forces soon arrive there as well. To face the dark cult and her own past, Nara must retrieve her old friend and her best weapon - a self-aware fighter called the Forsaken. The developers set the story of redemption against the backdrop of an outer space battle with the unrelenting cult of the Circle and its leader, the Great Prophet.
Game mechanics
In Chorus we observe the action from the third person perspective (TPP). The pillar of the game are dynamic battles in space, gigantic objects like giant stations and also in the Void, which is a hidden dimension existing outside our reality. As we progress we gain not only a more powerful arsenal and various upgrades for the ship increasing its combat potential, but also supernatural powers such as teleportation and telekinesis. This is all the more important as the adversaries use every means possible and over time they throw more and more forces against us; fighters, monstrous battleships and mysterious entities inhabiting the Void, among others, stand in our way.
Technical aspects
Graphics of Chorus has a high quality. The locations in which the battles take place are impressive; the effects accompanying the exchange of fire with enemies are also very pleasing.
