eFootball Description
eFootball is another installment of soccer simulators, originally known as Pro Evolution Soccer (or Winning Eleven in Japan). Its producer and publisher is the Japanese company Konami, also known for its work on such series as Metal Gear, Castlevania or Silent Hill. This part of the series was made available in the free-to-play model on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC and mobile devices. The developers abandoned the annual paid version of the game in favor of regular, free updates for new seasons.
The game offers players friendly matches and access to nine clubs. The remaining modes and teams are optional DLC that can be purchased for a fee. The game has also been enriched with Match Passes similar to Battle Passes, providing access to additional content. In addition, thanks to the introduced cross-platform feature, players can play matches together using completely different devices.
Just like the previous parts, eFootball has a 3D graphic design. This time, however, the game did not use FOX Engine, but a completely new engine, based on Unreal Engine 4. Moving the game to a new engine is connected with the introduction of Motion Matching, a richer animation system, also used in versions for mobile devices.
