Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

Destiny: Rise of Iron

Destiny: Rise of Iron is the first expansion available exclusively for the 8th generation of consoles and it requires the previous extension, called The Taken King, to work. The plot revolves around a breach in the wall, located on the southern border of Old Russia, which let hordes of fallen mutants get into the Golden Age graves, filled with valuable artifacts.

Inspired by John Woo's films, this spectacular top-down view shooter is Sweden's debut project by VRESKI studio. Players go to Hong Kong, where a fierce war of triad takes place. The gameplay is based on efficient bypassing of opponents' balls, which makes it easier to slow down time, and eliminating them with a wide range of weapons. The whole is complemented by a spectacular audiovisual setting and largely destructible environment.
Dead Rising 3

The third installment in a series of original action games focusing on spectacular encounters with hordes of murderous zombies. The game was created by the fathers of the franchise - Capcom, though the player assumes the role of a completely new character here - Nick Ramos. As usual, Dead Rising 3 is set in an open environment, in which the protagonist completes a series of different tasks, eliminating entire crowds of zombies along the way.
The Order: 1886

A third-person perspective (TPP) action game in a steampunk setting, developed by Ready At Dawn studios. The main campaign storyline of The Order: 1886 takes the player to an alternate version of the Victorian era, in which a war is raging against a species of mutated humans. The player assumes the role of Sir Galahad, a knight of the Order that has fought the beasts for centuries. The action takes place mostly in London, where many authentic places and pieces of architecture can be found.
Team Fortress 2: Mann vs. Machine

A free DLC expansion for the online shooter Team Fortress 2 released in 2007 by Valve. The story of the Mann vs. Machine expansion focuses on a robot invasion due to which the Red and Blue mercenaries must unite their forces and face a common enemy. The gameplay was designed with cooperation mode for six players in mind. The players who control the characters must face waves of robots and destroy the Mann Co. factory in which the machines are created.
Counter-Strike: Online

The gameplay is based on online duels between the players who control different, armed vehicles. The game offers a wide variety of vehicles that fall into several main categories - each machine has its own different strong and weak spots. As a result, the player has to develop an appropriate tactic for a given vehicle.
The Long Journey Home

The Long Journey Home tells the story of a prototype spaceship, the first one in history to be equipped with an FTL drive. During its maiden flight, an accident happens which results in the ship being thrown into an uncharted region of the galaxy; the player’s task, as the ship’s captain, is to find a way home.
Hitman: Sniper

Unlike the main installments, the game from Square Enix Montreal focuses strictly on sniping challenges, in which we have to silently eliminate our targets. Therefore, we can’t move and have to complete our task from a static position.
RoboCraft

An original free-to-play MMO game that combines gameplay mechanics of such games as World of Tanks with graphics resembling those from the cult Minecraft. The title is the debut project of the independent British studio called Freejam. The gameplay focuses on multiplayer competition with the use of personally designed vehicles on various maps that are different not only in terms of looks but also laws of physics. We build our very own cars with available blocks.
Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies

It expands on the ideas started in the second installment of CounterStrike Online for the Asian market by introducing zombies to the game, which are very popular among players. They are a fast and extremely dangerous type of opponent, which translates into the dynamic action typical of subsequent installments in the series.
