Counter-Strike: Online is another part of the popular FPP online shooter designed for the Far East markets. Just like in the original, two teams of players stand here to fight, and the goal is to either eliminate each other until the last, or to achieve a predetermined goal (e.g. to put up and detonate a bomb). The new version of the series has been changed in relation to the western version, including the introduction of female characters, new maps have been added, the game has been extended with new game modes and a micropayment system has been implemented.
In addition to the standard death mats (individual and team), Counter-Strike Online also offers bombs and VIP escorts: Zombie Mode (1, 2, 3, Survival) and Challenge Mode.
When it comes to modes with living corpses in the lead role, in addition to the standard repulsion of waves of successive zombies controlled by artificial intelligence (Survival), the game also finds other variants. In one of them (Zombie 2) players have 20 seconds to prepare to repel the living corpses. After this time, the randomly selected player turns into a zombie and seeks to infect more players and so on until all healthy people are dealt with or time passes. Zombie 3 is played on similar rules, but one of the people receives special weapons.
Challenge Mode, in turn, is a race in which rival players have to defeat breakneck levels as quickly as possible.
Subsequent modes are in the game sharing in real time. In 2010, on the occasion of the Football World Cup, two special pitch-shaped maps were prepared and football costumes for players were designed.
Although the game itself is free of charge, there is a micropayment system. For special points purchased for real cash, players can (temporarily or permanently) acquire special weapons. The visual setting has hardly changed compared to the original Counter Strike.
