OpenCritic
The third installment in a series of original action games focusing on spectacular encounters with hordes of murderous zombies. The game was created by the fathers of the franchise - Capcom, though the player assumes the role of a completely new character here - Nick Ramos. As usual, Dead Rising 3 is set in an open environment, in which the protagonist completes a series of different tasks, eliminating entire crowds of zombies along the way.

Eurogamer: 7 / 10 by Tom Bramwell
The spine of the game is still mashing your way through zombie hordes with elaborate weaponry, and fortunately this remains enjoyable from beginning to end, but having stripped back some of the humour and made the game less colourful and more gritty, it's a shame that the developers weren't able to infuse it with something else to top up its character. It's not as though Capcom Vancouver didn't understand people's love of the originals: when you're not smashing through zombies, you collect golden statues of Frank West, while the local museum has exhibitions dedicated to West and Chuck Greene, his successor in Dead Rising 2.
Forbes: 8 / 10 by Erik Kain
All told, even though this is one of the better next-gen exclusives, it's still not a system seller. It's not that kind of game that's simply so good you need to go buy a system to play it. The fact is that right now on both Xbox One and PS4, we have yet to see a true system seller. Dead Rising 3 is lots of fun, but we won't be talking about it in a year. That being said, if you're getting an Xbox One already, this is a title that's definitely worth playing. Open-world mayhem, fun crafting…it's great escapism. That's all it is.
Digital Trends: 3.5 / 5 by Adam Rosenberg
Dead Rising 3 scores points for its huge zombie hordes and iterative improvements, but it's clear this is a series that could stand to evolve into something more.

Dead Rising 3 Description
Dead Rising 3 for PC and XONE is the third rightful edition of action game, focusing on the fight against zombies; the hallmark is the appearance on the screen hundreds of monsters at the same time. The game was created by Capcom, which is well known from many classic games, including Resident Evil series, Monster Hunter and Street Fighter. The project first appeared in November 2013, dedicated to Xbox One, and in summer 2014 dedicated to the personal computer users. The PC edition was slightly improved in comparison with the console version. First of all, the developers took care of improving the graphic design, providing more detailed texture of the environment and all objects. There were also provided more excellent character models. What is more, there is added the ability to control the game with the mouse and keyboard, appeared steam achievements rankings and Steam Trading Cards.
In Dead Rising 3, the player portrays Nick Ramos, who is faced with the zombie invasion. The hero traverses the city and completes orders, while fighting against the hordes of the undead. There is a simple system of the main character development which allows to develop the combat skills. In the game, the player can use many gadgets for example to distract the attention of opponents and modify found weapons. These are many, what is characteristic for the Dead Rising series. In the third part, the player can make a use of vehicles which can be extremely useful in the exploration of the area – what is more, they can be helpful in exterminate of the oncoming zombies hordes.
Dead Rising 3 for PC and XONE presents a bit darker and more serious style than before. Despite this, the authors did not give up the crazy, improvised weapons, crazy forms of attack and the hectoliters of blood.
Still, the game can boasts that it can display hundreds of enemies on screen at in the same time – in the third part of the series, there is three times more than in the previous part. In this time, there are not loading screens in the world. Los Perdidos turns out to be bigger than the total area of the previous version, and the interactivity of the city can help using the interiors of the buildings and variety of places to fight against zombies.
