Evacuation in Fear the Wolves Fear the Wolves Guide and Tips
Last update: 28 August 2018
Evacuation, besides killing all players, is another way of winning a match in Fear the Wolves. It starts when there are about 12-18 players left and the majority of the map has been filled with radiation. Evacuation can be divided into a few stages - learn about them if you want to have a chance at escaping. Below you can find descriptions of all the evacuation stages as well as a handful of tips that will help you win a match.
Stage 1: Helicopter
The game will inform you about the option to evacuate. After that you will be able to notice a helicopter above Chernobyl (you can track its movement). The majority of the players will move towards it. You should go, too (remember to use medicaments to stay alive and in good shape).
- Try to track the helicopter's movement and predict where you have to go.
- It is important to arrive early at the evacuation site - you can use a vehicle to reach that spot.
- Once you reach the site, you must find a good shooting spot.
Stage 2: Preparations for evac
At some point the helicopter will stop in a random place. The game informs you that the preparations for evac have begun. This stage lasts a little bit longer - stay vigilant and watch out for potential enemies. Try to hide behind an environment obstacle - you need to stay closer to the helicopter to be able to shoot a player who wants to escape. After some time, you will notice flares on the ground. Also, the helicopter will drop a rope.
- Try to not make yourself vulnerable to attacks.
- Keep an eye on the evac zone and be ready to fire.
- Remember about your weapon's reach.
- Aim right above a red cloud when the game informs you that one of the players has started the evac process. Open fire as soon as you see an enemy's head.
- There are enemies nearby and you don't have a chance to evacuate? Be patient and wait for one of them to take a risk or try to shoot them all.
Stage 3: Evacuation
To evacuate you have to approach the rope and hold the right key (the default key in the PC version is F). After that your character will start climbing to the helicopter. This is the most dangerous part - a character who is hanging up in the air can't attack and can be shot down with ease. If you want to evacuate from the map, you have to either take the risk or try to kill all players. At this point of the game you will need good armor (to withstand more bullets).
- Remember - all players can focus their attention on you if you have a good chance of evacuating.
- You may need a lot of oxygen if the evac site is in radiated area.
- Don't forget to use everything you have in your inventory to win the final fight, e.g. grenades, med kits, food etc.
