Beginning of the match in Fear the Wolves Fear the Wolves Guide and Tips
Last update: 28 August 2018
At the beginning of a match in Fear the Wolves usually the biggest number of players die, because they land in the same place and fight for a few weapons located in the area. The first ones, who find weapons gain the advantage of the game. Try to avoid combat with armed enemies if you don't have any weapons yourself. It is worth to consider, whether to jump in exactly the same place as everyone else.
Warm-up and landing
At the beginning, the player is placed in one area with the rest of the players. Everything that happens during the first few dozen seconds will have no impact on the actual game. This time can be used to change settings, adjust mouse speed, etc. Then, the players are taken into the helicopter, which will transport them to the place of the match.
Beginning of the match
The actual match starts when you are in the helicopter. Now you will have to make the first very important decision, which is to choose the landing place and jump out of the helicopter at the right time. During the flight you have the ability to control the character, unfold the parachute and glide to the desired destination. Usually players choose places near buildings due to the vast majority of the weapons that have been buried within them. If you decide to land in a place that has selected a larger number of players, you must take into account that you will have to fight with them for supplies and weapons even if you only have bare fists.
Early exploration and gathering equipment
As soon as you land on the ground, immediately start looking for armor because it is very likely that there is an enemy lurking nearby, that can be easily defeated with any weapon available. The vast majority of weapons was buried in residential buildings, shed buildings, garages, etc. So start your search from these places. When collecting additional weapons, don't forget to pick up the ammunition packages, which are usually lying next door. A weapon without ammunition will be of no use to you. Don't forget about extra equipment like suits, oxygen cylinders or gas masks, as well as medication to help you survive in such unpleasant environment.
