Sports Story

  1. Release date: June 2020
  2. Genre: jRPG

Sports Story is the sequel to Golf Story, an independent gem released in 2017 that combined the mechanisms characteristic of adventure games with the amazing grace... of golf. As an amateur with great ambitions, we visited several unusual golf courses and gradually proved that we can afford to play among professionals. Sports Story will take the concept even further, and expand the number of available disciplines with football, baseball, beach volleyball and tennis.

The visuals won't change and will still hark back to the classic Japanese RPGs of the 16-bit era, but when it comes to the gameplay, we can expect a lot of variety. Already Golf Story gave up the traditional, jRPG fights, which were replaced by a very interesting interpretation of the rules of golf. The sequel should offer much more variety, as each sports discipline will have unique rules and mechanics.

In games, he primarily looks for stories, emotions, and immersion that no other medium can provide - hence, among his favorite titles, are games focusing on narration. Believes that NieR: Automata is the best game ever made.
