Animal Crossing: New Horizons

  1. Release date: March 20, 2020
  2. Genre: life simulator

The last full-fledged installment in the Animal Crossing series, New Leaf, was released in 2012. Fans of this series have been waiting for a very long time for the next production, and are slowly growing impatient. However, all this waiting should pay off – the new game seems set to not only be much more beautiful (which isn't surprising, since the previous one debuted on 3DS), but, above all, much more interesting than the previous parts of the series.

In New Horizons, we will be sent to an uninhabited island that we will have to tame and subdue. We'll start with setting a simple tent, making primitive tools, cutting down individual trees and growing plants, to finally summon the first settlers who will support us in our colonizing attempts and help turn untouched areas into a bustling villages.

Traditionally for the series, the game will come with a seasonal cycle – weather in Animal Crossing conditions will change depending on the real time of the year. If you become bored however, you'll be able to move to the other hemisphere and enter a totally different season: Earth's not flat!
