Only in September 2019, 112 million people played Minecraft, and in May this year, the game sold over 180 million copies (add to that 300 million users of free Minecraft in China), making it the best-selling computer game of all time, hands down. Consider these numbers if you're in any way surprised by the presence of Minecraft Dungeons on this list. There's probably more people waiting for this "silly game" that for Cyberpunk 2077 and GTA6 combined.
Since the average age of Minecraft players is quite low, the game was certainly the first contact with games for many of them. And because of this, Dungeons is a very interesting project, as may prove a game that will reorient many of them to other games of this type. In this particular case – slashers, as it will be a representative of this particular genre.
We end up in the well-known, characteristic world composed cubes, but this time we will not be crafting objects or building bizarre designs. Instead, we will choose one of four different characters. The perspective will change to isometric, and we will begin to wade through procedurally generated locations full of hazards. Combat is supposedly the mainstay of the game, offering clashes with hordes of enemies and powerful bosses. Our victories will provide items that will improve our combat ability, and it will be possible to invite three other friends to join the fun. It would be ironic if the release of Diablo IV and Path of Exile 2 was overshadowed by Minecraft: Dungeons.
