  1. Announced in: 2021
  2. Genre: RPG
  3. Developer: Obsidian Entertainment

In 2021, we learned only that the science fiction RPG sequel The Outer Worlds is being created. And there was nothing strange about it, because we played the first part just two years earlier. The creators turned out to be humorous, adding an ironic tone to the trailer, in which they openly admitted that apart from the title, there's nothing to show for it. It was so back then – and what happened since? Even if the release is still far away, it would be worth reminding that this sequel is being made, because it has been very quiet about it in the meantime.

Why are we waiting?

Obsidian Entertainment must have their hands full with making this RPG alongside the huge Avowed. But the mentioned studio is indeed one of the reasons why it's worth waiting for The Outer Worlds 2. This team definitely has the experience and a knack for this genre, even if the first part wasn't perfect. The sequel is a good opportunity to improve all imperfections, especially the archaic technical execution, which the original suffered from. If the entire plot maintains a similar level of humor as in the trailer, this could turn out to be a truly memorable adventure!
