We have been waiting for new adventures of Senua since 2019. Indeed, in the meantime a lot of materials, screenshots, and even a gameplay fragment were released, but we still know little about this game, especially when it comes to the release date. Are we in for another short video, or will we get some specifics this time? The previous part greatly stunned everyone with its mature narrative, touching on the topic of mental illness as well, with symptoms of schizophrenia cleverly incorporated into gameplay mechanics. There was no shortage of difficult, well-executed fights – so expectations for the sequel are high.
Why are we waiting?
From the first shows of Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, the graphics created on the Unreal Engine 5 have been impressive. This game often looks photorealistic many points and is said to have the potential to revolutionize facial expressions in video games. For the Xbox Series X, it'll probably be a graphic benchmark – as long as the game runs properly. But graphics are just one of the elements that make the Senua an exciting prospect. What matters even more is how creative and mature the last game was, with the motive of mania or downright insanity seamlessly and cleverly interwoven with the mechanics. After the sequel, we expect a similar, truly unique experience that's still heavily combat-oriented.
