The huge success of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom probably came as no surprise to anyone. The developers again relied on the well-received scheme from Breath of the Wild , while improving the gameplay mechanics. So once again, as the heroic Link, we set out in search of Princess Zelda in the vast open world of Hyrule, to defeat the evil Ganon. Old, clichéd, but in such a convention it works, and not only for the devoted fans of the series.
The sky islands that expand exploration possibilities vertically were well received by players and critics. But most impressive is the option to build various structures by connecting objects. Thanks to good physics and almost unlimited possibilities, the Internet was filled in a flash with examples of players' incredible imagination and creativity. Yet this is only a small part of this huge game, which, additionally, runs on a portable console with many limitations compared to the competition.
A truly open world, freedom in exploring the storyline and experimenting with mechanics and elements of the environment make The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom hard to tear yourself away from. This is one of those games that can draw you in for hours and make you completely forget about the world around you.
I haven't had this much fun in an open world game since Breath of the Wild. However, if any of you don't share my admiration for the previous part, you won't find anything interesting in Tears of the Kingdom either. The Legend of Zelda series you either love or are completely indifferent to it. As a huge fan, I can wholeheartedly recommend TotK to anyone who is looking for interesting, unconventional gameplay, isn't afraid to introduce even the strangest ideas and loves solving complex puzzles.
