Lies of P, Neowiz, 2023

  1. Hogwarts Legacy in our encyclopedia
  2. Release date: September 18
  3. Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X & S, Xbox One
  4. Our score: 8.5/10

Lies of P promised to be one of the most intriguing games of this year – and it seems it didn't disappoint. This is the closest we've ever gotten to the famous Bloodborne – a game that tried its luck in FromSoftware studio's own souls-like genre, making sure it had enough of its own originality and creativity at the same time. Even if the whole thing is based on the classic novel about a boy-doll titled Pinocchio.

Lies of P brings its own – interesting and distinctive – interpretation of the famous fairy tale, which, together with the artistic setting in the style of the belle époque, creates a very apt combination. We also have souls-like combat mechanics using a rich arsenal of weapons along with a completely original mechanic of the eponymous lies. Speaking the truth or not, we influence the course of events, the appearance of the environment, and above all, determine whether we will become a human, or remain a doll. If someone isn't afraid of boss fights like those in Souls, Lies of P will be one of the more interesting gaming experiences of this year.
