This guide page to Chernobylite contains a walkthrough of the Old documents quest. With this guide, you will successfully complete the task.
During this quest, you can:
- unlock the Rat trap achievement;
- get a clue to investigate the Conspiracy.
The task will start on a random morning. Olivier will talk to you and tell you about Old documents hidden somewhere around Kopachi. Your task will be to go there and recover the documents.
Reaching the note
First, you have to go to one of the cottages in the resort. It contains a note showing the location of the documents. You will find it in the place shown on the map below [1].
This place is being searched by NAR soldiers. One of them stands directly at the entrance, so the easiest way is direct fight.
Obtaining documents
Your next target will be a bunker located in the south-eastern part of the map [2]. The way to it is guarded, but you won't encounter anyone in the area.
Inside you will find a room with a safe. But before you open it, look to your left. On the wall, there is a sensor that has to be deactivated - if you don't do it, you will die.
What's left is to take the documents and decide what to do with the sensor. You can:
- activate it again, which will improve your relationship with Tarakan;
- leave it disarmed, which will improve your relationship with Olivier.
