Day after completion of the Hacking into NAR servers quest, Mikhail will contact you for help. He is stuck in the building where he had previously lured NAR soldiers.

Obtaining a gas mask

Since the building where Mikhail hid is contaminated with toxic gases, you have to obtain a gas mask first. You will find it in the place marked on the map below [1].

This building is guarded by NAR soldiers. However, if you approach the building from the northern side and then head to its rear, you will avoid many enemies.

The only one left will be a man patrolling the corridor of the building. However, you can easily deal with him - just wait until he turns his back at you. You can go inside and take the mask.

Rescuing Mikhail

After obtaining the mask, you can go to the same place you visited during Hacking into NAR servers quest [2]. Mikhail is in the building next to it. To get there, you need to use the side entrance to the top.

Inside, look for the stairs leading down. Before you go down, put the gas mask on - the lower floor is contaminated. At the bottom, you will have to go from one open door to another - follow the mysterious creature.

After you are knocked down by it, go to the next open room - Mikhail is there. Talk to him, and then go to the last unexplored room to take the Chernobylite crystal (on the way, you will fight with the Shadow).

Finally, go to the exit to talk to Mikhail. Now you have to decide whether he should join your team. If you choose to do so, you will unlock the achievement Dark Tourist achievement.
