Energy

Energy is an extra resource used for special skills - Energy and Negative Effects | Basics - Basics of gameplay - Battlerite Game Guide

Energy is an extra resource used for special skills. Energy bar is below Hero's health bar. This bar is split into four yellow segments, each standing for 25 points. You can charge energy by performing basic attacks and using basic offensive or defensive skills. Each skill has an energy yield ascribed to it. What is energy used for?

  1. EX skills - every Hero can use energy on boosting two specific skills. It costs 25 points for each skill, but that skill gains an extra effect.
  2. R skill - each Hero has it. Using it costs 25 points of energy too.
  3. F skill - this is the so-called Ultimate, the super skill. Using it drains the entire bar, that is 100 points.

Negative Effects

While playing Battlerite you will come across various negative effects that can be put on your Hero. Below, there is a description for each of them. Note that skills that infuse one of these effects have different length of the effect's duration, which may vary for every Hero.

Stun

Stuns an opponent making them unable to move, use skills or perform any action whatsoever until the effect expires. You can attack stunned targets without worrying that you break the effect.

Incapacitate

Like in the case of Stun, Incapacitate makes a Hero unable to move or use skills until the effect expires or until they take any damage.

Petrify

Petrify makes a Hero unable to perform any actions as well, but it also puts a protective shield on them. Petrify lasts until the effect expires or the shield is broken.

Panic

Panic causes a Hero to run uncontrollably and disables them from using skills. The Hero usually runs straight ahead at an increased speed - they will make a large distance before the player regains control over the character. Panic lasts until the spell expires or is interrupted upon Hero's taking a specific amount of damage.

Root

Root holds a Hero in one place for a time. The character cannot move, but is still able to use skills.

Snare

Snare slows down a Hero by a specific percentage. The Hero can still move and use skills.

Fading Snare

Fading Snare holds a Hero in one place for a moment (movement speed is reduced to 0), who then gradually regains mobility until it is back to 100%.

Damage Over Time

This is the kind of damage that Heroes take over time, such as poison or fire - e.g. 10 damage in 5 seconds. This type of damage cannot kill a Hero, but it can leave them with just 1 hit point left. This effect lasts until the Hero takes all the damage. Damage Over Time can be reset - e.g. when a Hero gets poisoned for 5 seconds and after 3 seconds he is hit with the same effect again the duration of the poison effect is reset.

Silence

Silence makes the Hero unable to use skills for some time. The Hero can move freely though.

Weaken

A weakened Hero has their damage and healing statistics reduced by a percentage.
