The Medic class is effective against infantry. Medics are equipped with semi-automatic rifles characterized by high accuracy and damage which can compensate the low rate of fire. Moreover, they carry items essential to the battle, such as medical crates or syringes. If you choose to play as a Medic, you can select grenade launchers instead of these gadgets.
Gadgets
Medical crates, when thrown on the ground, heal all players around it. Medical crates can grant you a lot of points for healing allies. Use them where all the combat takes place, but where your allies are safe. Keep looking for allies who might need help during the game.
Bandage pouches are smaller than medical crates, so less players can use them at a time. Health points are not being restored constantly. Instead, 10 points are restored every couple of seconds. A player needs to stay close to the bandages. A medical crate is much more useful, so it should be used instead.
Syringes are equivalent to defibrillators from earlier installments of the game. They are used to revive fallen soldiers. To do it, get close to an ally's dead body and use the syringe. Battlefield 4 players might want to load the syringe before using it, but it is not necessary in this part of the game. Reviving your teammates is a great way of earning experience. Moreover, a syringe can be used to kill an enemy. To do it, hold the shoot button for 2-3 seconds to load the syringe.
Grenade launchers can be mounted under the gun's barrel. There are three types of grenades: frag - effective against infantry, smoke - more tactical, and HE - effective against tanks, but not as much against infantry.
Tips
The Medic class is the most effective one in infantry combat. Semi-automatic rifles are the most versatile weapons and they work best at a medium distance. What is more, medical gadgets can make a great difference in the course of the battle.
Throw medical crates often. Throwing medical supplies in safe places should be your habit. It is crucial for the team and it can easily give you points. When you're alone and shoot around a corner, throw a crate to keep healing yourself.
Always look for allies that you could revive. Firstly, you help the team this way. Secondly, you earn points. Finally, there is nothing more annoying than dying and seeing a medic run around without even trying to help. If you revive an ally and they die again, their second death will not count in the stats. If your teammate is in a dangerous position (e.g. stairs), try using a syringe. Always make sure that you are in a safe spot.
