Joker will give you a key that can be used on some of the items found in the room. Unfortunately, the key won't open any of them, as Joker wanted to make fun of you. You can give it to the guard right away (the one standing on the left), and approach Joker who will sit on an armchair.

The final part of the conversation with Joker will be your first important choice in the episode. You can promise a favor to Joker, or refuse completely. Regardless of your choice, the next part of the game will stay exactly the same.

You have to make another choice after the first one. Choose either to use the phone, or stop the scuffle between guards and the prisoners.
- Stop the fighting - You help the guard take care of the prisoners;
- Use the phone - Use the phone on the wall to call Alfred;
The aforementioned situation ends in the same way. Alfred arrives to Arkham Asylum to get you out.
