In the further part of the conversation, Alfred will suggest that Waynes' murder had to be ordered very high up, as the culprit himself was a simple pawn, unable to make a move on a gangster such as Thomas Wayne.

The conversation will lead to Bruce wanting to do a thorough analysis of the murder scene, in order to get the facts and events from that day straight.
