Last update: 11 January 2023
On this page of the guide to Animal Crossing New Horizons 2.0 you will read what are the Ordinances introduced with the update, where to choose them, how much it costs, what Ordinances you can choose from and what they add to the island.
General information
Ordinances will, in some respects, change the way your island operates. You can only choose 1 of 4 Ordinances at a time, but if you see that the new rules don't work, you simply get bored, or you want to try another one, you can easily change them at Isabelle's.
Go to her counter and choose the option Review Island features and then Discuss ordinances. Each change costs 20,000 Bells. Like most of the big changes on the island, the Ordinance does not become operative until the following day.
List of ordinances
Below you will find a list of all available Ordinances along with a description of what they will change on your island:
- Beautiful Island ordinance - the inhabitants of the island care more about the appearance of the environment. You will have to do more weeding, watering flowers and fishing garbage out from rivers and the ocean;
- Early Bird ordinance - the island comes to life earlier, but also ends its activity earlier - as do the surrounding businesses;
- Night Owl ordinance - all residents become "night owls". They get up later and go to bed later, and local shops are open at a later time;
- Bell Boom ordinance - everything is more expensive, but you will also sell items found on the island for a higher price, and therefore you will get rich faster.
