Lloid is a strange character - technically he is a gyroid. These hydrant-like creatures have appeared in the previous games from the series. Currently, Lloid is the only character of this type in New Horizons. However, there is a chance that the creators will add more of his kin later.

Where to find it?

You will meet Lloid near every building you commission at Tom Nook. Whether it's a bridge or a footbridge, Lloid will be standing next to it raising money for the construction.

What can it do?

You have to fund every investment on the island. Once you have chosen the place, Lloid will appear and act as a piggy bank - raising money and informing you how much is still missing.
