In this chapter of the guide to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you fill a description of controls on Nintendo Switch.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a simple game that doesn't require great skills from the player. In fact, even a grade schooler should be able to handle even the most demanding of tasks available in the game.

 | Save and the option to exit the game |
 | A button that is useful in some menu windows (for example in Nook Miles menu) |
 | Character movement |
 | Camera movement (when not inside rooms, it works only vertically - there are three positions in which you can set the camera) |
 | Circular tool selection screen |
 | Previous tool |
 | Next tool |
 | Hide active tool |
 | Open Nook Phone menu |
 | Choose emotion / reaction |
 | Say something (useful mostly in multiplayer and when making screenshots) |
X | Equipment menu |
Y | Pick up an item / Fill a hole |
 | Cancel |
 | Perform action with the held item / speak to person / enter room |
