List of secrets

There are 7 secrets in The Desert Path:

The locations where you can obtain collectibles have been included in the walkthrough below. You can also find other interactive items, but they don't necessarily have to be used.

Traveling along the main path

This stage takes place entirely on the surface. In its initial part, you have to travel along the eponymous path leading through the desert. After the heroine approaches the fence, hold down the indicated button to check the fetus's condition.

While moving forward, check out the area on the right. By moving interactive objects, you will be able to reach a container with matches.

A bit further, you will need to jump down from a greater height - follow the game's advice to crouch to avoid fall damage.

Locked gate puzzle

You will eventually reach a location with a locked gate. Before you start solving the puzzle, explore the areas on the left. The first path on the left leads to the location with an altar. Approaching it will activate a flashback - this is not counted as a secret.

The second path on the left leads up the hill. There you will find the tent shown in the picture. Check inside it to find:

1. The Desert Path: The Burned Page
2. Matchbook - they are in the basket, you have to remove the lid

Go back to the gate and check the area to the right of the gatehouse. In the place shown in the picture, you can grab and tear more boards. Crouch and get inside.

There are a few things inside the gatehouse:

1. A note with numbers and the photos are not part of the collectibles, but you can still check them.
2. The writing on the wall isn't a secret either.
3. Matchbook is in the locker on the wall - you have to use the hand icon on the lock first.

To solve the puzzle, you have to interact with the red dial to remove the large lock. You can squeeze through the hole again and open the gate to unlock a further passage.

Reaching the fortress

After opening the gate, do not rush forward. First, check the area on the right, next to the fence. Move the headgear shown in the picture to reveal a matchbook.

Follow the main path towards the fort, but don't enter the fortress right away. First, go to the left of the fort. The path that descends the hill leads to another fence. Move the heavy object shown in the picture to reveal a secret - Hank's Notes: Jonathan Webber.

Go back to the fort and explore the area to its right. Take the sandbag shown in the picture from the box to reveal matches.

You can now complete the stage by interacting with the fortress's large gate.
