Before the trial, you'll learn that one of Jacques Guillaume Simoneau's clerks has been killed. You can choose to go for a march dedicated to his memory, or refuse. If you go to the march, your relations with the common folk will suffer, while those with the revolutionaries will increase. Your relations with the older son and his wife will suffer, but your father will be happy following your decision.
The next accused is Olivier Mugler, who is accused of being a party in a break-in.
