Earning experience | Game basics Underrail Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
UnderRail offers the player two modes of earning experience and leveling. It all depends on what gamestyle you prefer. You can choose between:
Classic mode
In this mode, you earn experience for completing quests and killing enemies. Every next level requires you to gather 1250 more than the previous one. For example, you need 2500 XP to advance to level 2 and 3750 XP to advance to level 3.
Oddities
In this mode, you earn experience for completing quests and finding oddities (you can find them in various places, for example hidden in barrels or after killing mobs and bosses). However, you won't obtain any XP for killing enemies. Every next level requires you to earn 1 more point than in the case of the previous one. That means that level 2 requires 6 points, level 3 requires 7 points and so on.
Classic mode is definitely easier and therefore it is better for new players. You can proceed with the campaign and enjoy eliminating enemies. In the second mode, you will fight only because you have to and sometimes you won't even find anything in the bodies of your enemies.
